In my classroom, you will find a strong belief that all children have the ability to create, perform and experience music for the enrichment of their lives. Music Education goes beyond traditional teaching and allows for the opportunity to guide students to become disciplined, hard working, critical thinkers who are confident individuals and care for the well-being of others because they understand what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves

Currently oversee all functions of the Norwell High School and Norwell Middle School Instrumental Music Departments, including team teaching with the Middle School Band Director

Directs NHS marching band, concert bands, jazz band & jazz combo, pep band, winter percussion, winter color guard, concert percussion ensemble, chamber music groups

Teach all instrumental music classes at NHS and team teach all instrumental music classes at NMS

EXPERTISE
Concert Band
I have had the honor of working with some of the top wind band, choral and orchestral conductors in the field.
Their training has helped me develop a highly qualified approach to conducting and teaching instrumental music ensembles.
Marching Band
As a Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps Alum, I have been provided with the skills necessary to move forward in a very competitive art genre. Combined with traditional military training and past design experience, I've come to be known for pushing creative expectations for small bands in the region and state.
Musicianship
While I don't consider myself a "jazzer" or percussionist, color guard member or woodwind specialist, I have had the opportunity to work with a number of groups outside of my comfort zone. My education in all of these areas is continually evolving as I am always moving forward with my own knowledge of how to improve as a teacher and performer in these areas.
